Yes the G2 is a pretty good improvement with greater color volume and higher peak brightness for a more impactful HDR experience however, I would go with either one of the QD OLEDs. A95K if you're interested in color accuracy, better processing and good calibration controls or the Samsung S95B if you want more "pop".
